About the Doctor

Guy DaSilva, MD has been involved in many facets of the study of science and medicine for the past 36 years.

After graduating from College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemisty, Dr. DaSilva entered into NYU Dental School, followed by Medical School where he graduated with honors in 1986.   He later pursued six-years of post-graduate training in a variety of medical specialties including Internal Medicine, Anatomical, Surgical and Clinical Pathology, Hematology & Hematopathology and Molecular Diagnostic Medicine (Genetic Analysis, DNA cloning & hybridization, Immunohistochemistry & Flow Cytometry). 

Prior to becoming the founder and medical director of the daSilva Institute of Antiaging & Functional Medicine, Dr. DaSilva was an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Hematology and Pathology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine as well as section Chief of Hematopathology at KU Medical Center.  He was also the Director of the Molecular Diagnostics, Hematology & Oncology Services at Dianon Systems and later the CEO and Medical Director at HemePath Institute, a nationally recognized hematopathology laboratory. 

After many years in private practice, Dr. DaSilva went back to school and in December 2007 completed a two-year fellowship in Antiaging, Regenerative & Functional Medicine (Advanced Fellow).

He is a Diplomat & Board Certified by the American Board of Antiaging & Regenerative Medicine and is AFMCP Certified by the Institute of Functional Medicine [IFM].

He holds memberships with the American College for the Advancement of Medicine [ACAM], the American Academy of Antiaging & Regenerative Medicine [AAARM] and Institute of Functional Medicine [IFM]. 

Dr. DaSilva is currently pursuing a Masters in Science in Metabolic Medical Nutrition at the University of South Florida’s School of Medicine, College of Biotechnology.
